Beautiful, but tail rings are painted

I was pleased to receive my DLux Red panda in the mail today, and he is beautiful and soft and the fur is lushly dense, but I was disappointed to find that the color variations on the tail were merely painted on, since it's not clear from the photos or description that this is the case. These painted rings have a different texture than the rest of the body, kind of stiff and squeaky. And I was surprised and sad to find that they weren't bands of actual different color materials sewn together, especially given the attention to detail in so many of the smaller animals like the birds. My panda is still lovely, but I have concerns about how well the color will hold up over time, and I just wish the tail was as soft to stroke as the rest of the body. Without this oversight, he'd be absolutely perfect.
