Riley, A Scent Dog on a Mission
An adorable new face has joined the conservation team at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston! Riley the Weimaraner puppy helps out by sniffing around for pests such as moths and beetles that can damage the priceless works of art. Bloodhounds make up part of the Weimaraner breed’s history, which means Riley has inherited an excellent sense of smell. Couple that with the Weimaraner’s high intelligence and passion for work and you have a superb helper for the behind the scenes conservation and protective work over at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts!
As an admirer of the arts (and dogs!), we at DOUGLAS are delighted to announce the release of the Douglas Cuddle Toys Riley portrait plush, exclusive to the Museum of Fine Arts. Fashioned to look just like Riley with his large hound dog ears and striking blue eyes, the stuffed animal wears a removable black vest personalized with Riley’s name and emblazoned with the museum logo.
Stop by one of the museum’s gift shops to take home a Riley of your very own or pick one up from the MFA’s online website!
