Cold Weather Critters

Plush Artic Friends

It’s beginning to look a lot like winter! As the snowflakes begin to fall and we enjoy hot cocoa by the fire, we’ve been thinking about all our animal friends in the wild. While not all critters enjoy romping through snow—such as flamingos or monkeys—there are some captivating animals that thrive in colder weather. Our cold weather collection highlights many of these amazing animals.

Plush Penguins

PENGUINS

Different species of penguins can be found on every continent in the Southern Hemisphere. Penguins are flightless birds that spend up to 75 percent of their lives in the water. They love to find krill, fish, and squid to eat. Penguins are covered in short wooly down and their bodies contain a layer or fat that makes them well equipped to live in below-freezing conditions. We love penguins because they are social animals and have a distinct tuxedo-like appearance.

Plush penguins have always been one of our favorite animals. We offer life-like details in our designs and are proud to offer stuffed penguins in a variety of species and sizes.

POLAR BEARS

Polar bears are really on the top of the food chain. They are the largest of the meat-eating land animals in the world and primarily eat seals. Polar bears are uniquely suited for life in the Arctic with thick fur that helps keep them warm and even provides traction on ice. We love polar bears because they are excellent swimmers and can travel great distances.

Plush bears have been popular for more than a century, and our polar bears are no exception. We offer a large selection of stuffed animal bears but these bright white bears are a customer favorite.

Plush Wolf

WOLVES

Wolves are wild dogs. While they are similar to the dogs we keep as pets, wolves are different. They tend to avoid humans and have stronger teeth and a louder howl. Wolves are also excellent hunters and can reach running speeds of 40 mph. Wolves live and hunt in packs of a few to as many as 20 wolves. Wolves have adjusted to colder temperatures and have two layers of fur to help them stay warm in freezing temperatures. We love wolves for their beautiful features and their strong social bonds.

While a wolf in the wild is not ideal for cuddling, our stuffed wolves are popular snuggly friends. Our plush wolves come in a variety of sizes and styles whether you’re looking for an alpine wolf or a whole pack.

Stuffed Whale

WHALES

Did you know that whales are mammals? Like all mammals, but not most sea life, whales are warm-blooded, breathe air into their lungs, nurse their young, and even have a little hair. Whales inhabit every ocean in the world, but there are a variety of species and sizes. The blue whale is the largest known mammal that has ever lived. We love whales because they are great swimmers and quite active in the water. They can jump high out of the water making big splashes on the way back down.

Whale stuffed animals are hard to find, but we have a variety to choose from! Discover plush orca whales, sperm whales, humpback whales, and even narwhals.
